About my works | Resume
My inspiration comes from the concept in which the imaginary world and what we experience as reality inter-react and influence each other mutually.
The imagination does not “create” new images but rather a new form of a “renovated truth”, which leaves us with a feeling as if there is no such thing as absolute truth.
The truth is a functional form of imagination in motion, as described it in my work Imaginary pregnancy
The interaction of these two fields,
their exterior image, detachments or
connections are best presented in
wax.
As I see it, it’s an ideal material
to make this connection possible –
the link between imaginary and real,
the inside or outside insights from
the “circle”.
The Wax represents for me the time,
the dimming and the blockage.
I use light to discover new
dimensions in my creation.
The electrical lamp, by the heat it
creates and its nature as it
combines in the work makes a change
and gives another perspective of the
material I use.
I think that two levels of
perception are to be distinguished
corresponding to each circuit – the
imaginary, and the real one, and the
understanding or the insight can be
from the circle outside or the other
way around.
The metaphor is of the mind’s
ability to create an “inside world”
emerging from different levels of
concept and to create new ones of
the reality as it is grasped.
I use rough brush painting, and live colors, Dimming game stronger than the organic element of the material – its structure and clarity, in order to express the hesitation and the flexibility versus the hesitations.
I’m trying to find out my
personality in a dialog with the
world, which is in constant
movement.
During the discovery new circles are
revealed, connecting new truth to
the innocence of a new perspective.
